Yoga & Energy FAQ

I’ve never done yoga, can I come to your classes or sessions?

Yep! I LOVE working with people that have minimal or no yoga experience. In group classes, I offer modifications and variations for people of all levels and abilities. My private sessions are 100% customized to YOUR body, needs, and goals. Whether you’re in my group classes or private sessions, I put my whole heart into my offerings and do my best to make it approachable to everyone, especially beginners. I really strive to cultivate an inclusive, supportive space, not a stodgy, rigid space that makes people feel less than. I have injuries - will I be able to do yoga?

In my group classes, I always ask new friends if they have injuries or sensitive areas that I need to be aware of, so that I can offer modifications and variations when needed. And, it is of utmost importance that you listen to and honor your body’s needs — if something hurts, do not do it! Pause in a resting pose and come back for the next sequence. I do not believe in “No pain, no gain.” If there is pain, please come out of the posture, take a break, and reassess, or wave me over for assistance. 

If you’re experiencing a major injury, please email me before class or pull me aside and let me know, so that we can discuss whether it’s okay for you to be practicing yet. As always, it’s up to you to discuss with your medical provider if it’s safe for you to practice yoga. I am not a medical or healthcare provider.

What does energy work feel like?

I use a few different techniques of energy work, including Reiki, and all of the methods I use are non-invasive, gentle approaches to shifting energy in the body. There is no pain. You get to choose if you want a hands-on or hands-off approach, so I don’t even have to touch you if you don’t want me to. The experience is different for everyone and every session, but people commonly feel relaxed, “blissed out”, calm, while others may feel energized and bubbly. It is very unique to what I find in your energy system, the blocks that are present, and what gets cleared. Ultimately, it’s a rejuvenating experience whether you feel sleepy and relaxed or energized and bubbly. You will likely feel lighter afterward, so I don’t recommend scheduling something very heady or cerebral immediately following your session.

Life Coaching FAQ

Is Life Coaching the same as Therapy?

This is a super valid and important question. I am not a therapist, counselor, or mental health professional. As a life coach, I can help you clarify goals, determine obstacles and challenging behaviors/situations, and then support you along the journey towards achieving your goals. A therapist or mental health counselor is qualified to assess deeper mental and emotional health imbalances; I am not. While we may discuss some of these things if it comes up, if you are struggling with your mental and emotional health, I will strongly encourage you to work with a therapist. I’m a big fan of therapy and would be happy to work with you while you see a therapist because life coaching can complement therapy, but it cannot replace therapy. 

How do we meet?

Online via Zoom in my private meeting room. You’ll receive the audio/video recording to download within 24 hours after each session, and you’ll have access to your private client portal where I’ll share resources, messages, session info, practices, and more. That way, you can sign in and access it all in one easy place. 

For in-person sessions, we’ll agree on a location prior to meeting.

But what if I’m feeling pretty ok right now? 

My intuitive life coaching offerings are intended for anyone ready and willing to make changes and improvements in their life. It can be a great asset and resource to maintain optimal well-being even if you already feel aligned! 


Astrology FAQ

I’ve already had a chart reading before, should I still book the initial chart reading with you?

I typically require all of my first-time astrology clients to book an initial chart reading because my approach and what’s covered in this reading is more extensive than the average chart reading, plus I use life coaching to make the reading practical.

How often should I get a reading?

I love this question. While a birth chart reading is incredibly helpful and insightful, the even more exciting part about astrology is that the relationship between the planets and us here on Earth shifts! All the time! So, the movement of the Cosmos is constantly influencing us here on Earth (much like the Moon affects the tides). 

I have clients that get monthly readings, seasonal readings, and yearly readings — it just depends on your needs. It all starts with the initial birth chart reading and then I typically suggest getting seasonal readings, so 3 or 4 a year. At the very least, a reading once a year around your birthday is a great time to come back for a “check up” to see what’s in store for you.

Once you get your initial birth chart reading, the seasonal/yearly readings are a time to get hyper-focused on exactly what planetary influences will be affecting you for that period of time. Then, you’ll know how to best work with it instead of against it. That’s where it becomes super practical.
