What You Can Expect in Our Yoga Session
As an experienced yoga teacher and energy medicine practitioner, I aim to help you cultivate greater awareness and consciousness of your body and its rhythms to restore the body, mind, and spirit to a free and natural state through releasing stagnation.
My intention is to help facilitate an organically playful, yet deep, experience of release and creative exploration by tapping into the profound wisdom of the body and heart through breath-led movement and intuitive listening.
My group classes are intuition-lead and student-focused, which means I listen to and feel what the students in the class want and need. That way, I’m able to teach from the most authentic and connected place — my heart! You will find that my classes are often influenced by the rhythms of nature — we may explore the elements, cardinal directions, and the mystical lessons of the natural world. It’s heart-centered, joyful, deep and evolutionary all while remaining practical and accessible.
Yoga is a sacred practice that deserves reverence; it’s not just a quick workout.
In our yoga sessions, we’ll address the yoga of life to see how we can bring the principles of yoga on the mat into your day to day life — behaviors, mindset shifts, unconscious thought patterns, relational dynamics, emotional upsets, movement habits — this is where you start to see true progress and growth, beyond the physical benefits of yoga (of which there are plenty!)

what is energy medicine?
Also called energy work or energy healing, energy medicine is a hands-on modality that focuses on the body’s energy fields in order to aid the body in repairing cells, tissues, and organs to achieve or maintain optimal health and wellbeing. These non-invasive, gentle techniques help to repair faulty energy patterns in the body that cause stagnation and inflammation, which leads to disease. I like to think of it as a major urban roadway; if there’s a traffic jam on the freeway, cars can’t get where they need to go, which leads to more accidents, anger, honking horns, and frustrated drivers late to work. The energy pathways of the body are similar; in order to maintain optimal health, the energy needs to be free to move. From injury, chronic stress, unresolved emotions, trauma, or poor posture/movement habits, energy becomes blocked and stagnant which can lead to more problems and poor health down the road.
During in-person private energy work sessions, I will use my hands in a gentle way along specific energy meridians and points on your body. I always ask for your permission before touching each area of your body and use minimal pressure when doing so. Through tapping, massaging, twisting, grazing, and tracing these energetic pathways, I’m able to facilitate speedier recovery, repair of cells/tissues, and a clearing of pent-up energy in the body.
I can also guide you through self-healing techniques if you’re more comfortable touching your own body. During virtual sessions, I will always guide you through a comprehensive self-healing practice utilizing energy medicine techniques.
Energy medicine is for everyone
Anyone can practice and receive energy work - you don’t have to belong to a particular religion, you don’t have to be into yoga, or have had any major trauma in life. It truly is for everyone!
